Industry Intros

Privacy Policy

Last updated September 29, 2026

The short version

We collect what we need to run Industry Intros and nothing more. We never sell your information, we do not show ads, and we do not use your questions or answers to train AI systems.

1. What we collect

  • Account: your name, email, and timezone.
  • Conversations: the questions you send and the answers you receive.
  • Payments: handled entirely by Stripe. We never see or store your card number, bank account, or SSN. We keep only the reference Stripe gives us (card brand and last four digits).
  • Usage: basic device and log information that keeps the service working and secure.

2. How we use it

To run the marketplace: deliver questions and answers, process holds and payments, send the email notifications you expect, handle flags and reviews, and keep the platform safe.

3. Who processes it for us

A small set of processors, each receiving only what it needs: Stripe (payments and identity verification), Supabase (database and login), Cloudflare (spam and bot protection), Daily (live voice and video calls), Nylas (calendar availability, only if an expert connects their calendar), Resend (email), Sentry (error monitoring), Vercel (hosting, and Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights, which run on every page to count page views and measure how quickly pages load, and which are not part of the cookie banner choice), Upstash (rate limiting, which reads your IP address to count requests and block abuse), Google Analytics (site analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies), Google Fonts (serving the typefaces the site is set in, which means your browser requests those font files from Google on every page and Google receives your IP address as part of that request; this is not part of the cookie banner choice, sets no cookie, and happens whatever you choose in the banner), CookieYes (showing the cookie banner and recording your choice), and TMDB (The Movie Database, which supplies the film and TV credits and poster artwork an expert chooses to show on their profile; we send it the public IMDb identifier that expert gave us, so it can find their record, and it receives nothing about buyers). When you provide personal data in connection with Industry Intros, Stripe receives that personal data and processes it in accordance with the Stripe Privacy Policy at https://stripe.com/privacy.

4. What we never do

We never sell your data. We never show you ads. We never use your questions or answers to train AI systems. We never publish your conversations without your permission.

5. Keeping and deleting

We keep your information while your account is active, plus what payment and legal records require us to hold. You can ask us to delete your account and data at any time, and we will remove everything the law lets us remove.

6. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and access inside Industry Intros is limited to the people who need it to do their jobs.

7. Your choices

Update your details in settings. To stop receiving email you have three ways, and any one of them is enough: email support@industryintros.com with the word Unsubscribe and a person will action it, use the unsubscribe control your own mail app shows on our messages, or open your account settings. Some messages are not marketing and we will keep sending them while your account is open, because you need them: receipts, an answer arriving, a refund, and reminders about a call you have already paid for. Cookies are a choice too: we set the ones the site needs to work, and analytics cookies only if you accept them in the cookie banner. Google Analytics starts denied, so it measures nothing until you accept. If you do accept, Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser and uses them to work out whether you are a returning visitor, which pages you looked at, roughly where in the world you are, and which site sent you to us. It reports that back to us as counts and trends, never as a name. Google describes what it does with that information at https://www.google.com/policies/privacy/partners/. Vercel Web Analytics and Speed Insights sit outside that choice: they run on every page whatever you pick in the banner, and they are how we count page views and watch page speed. Change or withdraw that choice at any time from the Cookie settings link in the site footer or in your account settings, and we honor Global Privacy Control signals as an opt-out. Privacy questions go to support@industryintros.com.

8. Changes

We post the revised policy here and update the "Last updated" date at the top. Using Industry Intros after that date means you accept the revised policy, to the extent the law allows.
